Find recipes with ingredients you already have

Use Kitchen Diary’s pantry and cookware matcher to compare dishes, see missing ingredients, and choose a meal you can make.

Start with your kitchen

Open Your pantry and select ingredients from the food groups, then choose the cookware available to you. Selecting cookware narrows the results to dishes that fit those tools. If you leave cookware empty, the matcher assumes a normal kitchen. Include the foods you want to use first, such as vegetables, grains, beans or a protein.

Choose how closely recipes should match

Flexible mode shows dishes that use some of your selected ingredients and lets you see what is still missing. Exact mode requires all core ingredients and the selected cookware. Survival mode adds two limits: an easy recipe and a cooking time of 30 minutes or less. Optional extras do not block Exact or Survival results.

Check the details before cooking

Open a dish to review its core ingredients, optional extras, tools and steps. The matcher assumes common staples such as salt, pepper, oil, water, butter, flour, sugar, soy sauce and vinegar, so check your cupboard rather than treating a match as a full inventory. The recipe’s missing items can help you prepare a shopping list.

Move from an idea to a cooking plan

Choose a dish and open it in the recipe builder. Review the steps and adjust them for your ingredients and equipment. Save favorites you want to return to, and record dishes you cook so your kitchen history becomes useful the next time you need inspiration.
