Kitchen Diary guides

What should I cook tonight?

Choose dinner with a pantry match, a balanced menu roll or Kitchen Diary’s cuisine decider wheel.

When ingredients decide dinner

Start in Your pantry if you already know what is in the fridge. Choose your ingredients and cookware, then use Exact mode to find dishes with all core ingredients available. Try Flexible mode when a small shopping trip is possible. For an easy dish with an estimated cooking time of 30 minutes or less, try Survival.

When you want more than one dish

Use Tonight’s Menu in the pantry to roll a menu across courses. Pin a dish you like, then roll again to explore the rest of the meal. Check the recipe details and missing ingredients before deciding what to cook.

When you need a direction

The dinner decider wheel helps you pick a cuisine when you are open to inspiration. Use that direction to explore the recipe feed, or return to the pantry to choose a dish that fits your ingredients. A cuisine choice is a starting point for your meal, rather than a complete shopping plan.

Build a shortlist for next time

Save dishes you like and use your cooking history to remember what worked. Your journal brings Saved, History and Cookbook together, so a meal you enjoyed is easier to find again.
